We identify suitable host properties that can house energy generation assets (our farms) and calculate how much energy can be used on site.

We then match up the remaining power produced and allocate it to our Power Supply customers and the energy markets.

Energy generation assets include solar PV panels, batteries, biogas and hydrogen systems.

Our projects are funded by a combination of revenue from the purchase of shares in the collective, as well as the sale of power to the Power Supply customers and to the electricity/energy markets. 

We’ve been vertically integrated from Day One to ensure our projects get excellent value and are delivered by professionals who are committed to our vision.

As our asset base grows with more projects/sites, all members benefit from the capital growth of the share value and the sustainable investment into more community and alternative energy initiatives. 

Power Supply customers and Hosts are invited to join the Investor group so they can benefit further from their own power payments or their Host share allocation.

BlueGreen Energy Retailer

Our retail platform establishes virtual power plants that link our host sites and their cornerstone power users (usually the facility or property occupiers).

This ensures reliable energy supply and trading and lowers the risk of the wholesale/spot market pricing for the sale of the additional energy produced.

Taranaki Community Energy Activator

We’ve completed the 2025 Taranaki Community Energy Activator program with 9 other local community initiatives, hosted by Ara Ake and the Community Energy Network.

Through workshops, hui, and hands-on learning, this 13-week programme connects people with the knowledge, tools, and networks they need to develop energy projects that reflect their community’s values and aspirations.

Waiwhakaiho Flagship Solar & BESS

Our first major installation was a 70kW rooftop system built for onsite demand for a busy workshop with critical power supply requirements. 

The tenant’s priorities were for power resilience and OPEX visibility on energy costs, and the building had suitable sizing to easily meet their energy demand x2 annually.

The addition of 50kW of battery storage supports the retail into the wholesale market at optimal pricing, and multiple residential ICP’s are signed on for energy supply agreements based on the generation produced at this site.
